Building a healthy is not only to create a positive work environment but also growth in an organization. As a Manager a good relationship with employees has so many advantages.

Most workers are afraid of their managers, so they tend to put more effort into their work cause of fear of making mistakes.

A good manager-worker relationship is more of mutual admiration and understanding.


Open Communication

Communication is one of the most important key aspect of any relationship.

As a manager, sending of emails should not only be the means of communication.

There should be an open communication, where the workers are free to speak their minds. With an open communication workers can easily flow with managers easily.


Special Treats And Events

Special Treats With workers


All work and no play make jack a dull boy. Managers should invite workers to special treats and events to have fun and enjoy their time, treats or events such as birthday, house opening,company outings or fun time and celebration in the company. Special treats and events could be as a result of a work well done, contracts etc. And on such treats, Manager should give some of his past experience and present experience, all it flaws and what motivated and inspire him for workers to learn from


Listening Attitude

Open communication can allow workers speak their own suggestions and ideas, but a manager who pays no attention to their words or put their suggestions into consideration will discourage them not to speak up next time, they will just shut all ideas to themselves and listen only.

As a manager you are not always right or good at all the areas that is why you employed workers at different departments in you company. You should listen to them and put their ideas into consideration before condemning them. It will encourage them to speak and come up with beneficial ideas. This will help in the improvements and growth of the company.


Be Yourself And Friendly

You can achieve your goals as being bossy and yelling, but with low performance of workers. A friendly positive manager helps build his workers in and out. “Show me your friend and I will tell you who you are”  but there is a line being friendly and being a boss. Be a manager your workers can call on when facing any work challenge and be helpful, not the one who will yell at them. Being friendly doesn’t mean you would condole mistakes and low performance, yes, you can tell and correct them and also come to them and tell them their wrongs.

Being a friendly manager will not only help the company alone, but also impact confidence in their personal self. With a confidence, workers tend to put their best into work. The have the mindset that they know what they are doing helps them do more.


Beneficial Ideas

With open conversation and listening managers, workers tend to bring up beneficial ideas. When a manager is listens and put ideas into consideration, workers understands that they are being valued and respected, so they tend to think deeper for beneficial and improving ideas.


It helps you notice their weak parts

All human have their weak parts so also workers do have theirs,when you are not friendly enough you won’t notice. But when you have an easy going relationship with workers you recognize their weak parts without being told, and as a good manager you should help them to be strong and know the sort of work to give to them.


Motivation And Inspiration 

A friendly manager or boss is also a motivation and inspiration to his / her workers. Workers tend to get and stay motivated around a friendly manager and put in their best to be like their manager. As a manager, on special outings and open communication you should share some of your flaws and motivation with workers, that is what a friend means.
